電影講述兩位偉大發明家愛迪生Thomas Edison (Benedict Cumberbatch)與George Westinghouse (Michael Shannon)為了爭奪成為曼哈頓的供電商而發生的競爭.....
《The Current War》由 Alfonso Gomez-Rejon（過往的作品有《Me and Earl and the Dying Girl(初戀有病)》）所執導，除了有Benedict Cumberbatch和Michael Shannon擔任主角外，更有Nicholas Hoult，Katherine Waterston《怪獸與牠們的產地》和Tom Holland（新版Spider-Man)參與演出。Benedict Cumberbatch 繼在《Sherlock》和《The Imitation Game》扮演圖寧後，又再一次扮演天才型人物角色，而今次他所扮演的人物就是家傳戶曉的愛迪生！
就咁睇預告片已經覺得幾吸引，再上有Benedict Cumberbatch 做男主角，（係Benedict 喎！）我實在沒有理由不進場觀看！！
