http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rnYWbdUhNg&feature=relatedWest Brom are set to hold talks with Peter Odemwingie this week about a new deal at The Hawthorns.
Odemwingie enjoyed a superb debut season at West Brom last term following his arrival from Lokomotiv Moscow.
The Nigerian international scored 15 goals and was instrumental in helping West Brom steer clear of a relegation dogfight.
Odemwingie's form in the Premier League has not gone unnoticed with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea credited with an interest in the skilful attacker.
West Brom are keen to tie down Odemwingie to a new long-term contract to fend off interest in the player.
Odemwingie's representative, David Omigie, has confirmed contract talks are set to commence with West Brom about the striker's future.
Big opportunity
"Hopefully we will be meeting with West Brom this weekend about Peter's future," Omigie told skysports.com.
"West Brom are saying they want to keep Peter and agree a new deal and they know Peter is happy there so hopefully all parties can come to an agreement."
Odemwingie said: "A few days ago, I was supposed to have a meeting with the West Brom leadership on the current contract.
"However, it did not take place and the meeting has been rescheduled for the next couple of days (with his representative)."
Omigie admits Odemwingie is flattered by reported interest from Arsenal and Chelsea and it would be something he would have to consider if they come calling for his services.
"When top clubs like Arsenal or Chelsea show interest in you it is flattering," added Omigie.
"It is a big opportunity to play for a club in the Champions League and it is something any player would have to consider."
