'I want to win back the Premier League title & bring the Champions League to Chelsea' - Michael Essien reiterates commitment to Blues
The Ghana midfielder is keen to stay at Stamford Bridge and compete for honours next season despite rumours of a potential switch to the Serie A runners-up Inter
Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has reiterated his desire to remain at Stamford Bridge and insisted that he wants to win a Premier League and Champions League double next season.
The Ghana star had been linked with a move to Serie A outfit Inter with Leonardo's side seemingly keen to improve their squad after finishing runners-up to AC Milan in the title race last season.
Despite the Blues missing out on winning England's top flight last term following their second-placed finish, as well as being eliminated from the Champions League at the quarter-final stage, Essien insists he is determined to stay put and challenge for honours with the club.
"I am looking forward to next season, I want to win back the title and bring the Champions League to Chelsea," he told skysports.com.
"So I am not aware of not playing for Chelsea next season."
