史度歷治 : 我看得到在車路士的未來
Daniel Sturridge has vowed to fight for a first-team place at Chelsea next season.
Daniel Sturridge has proven he has the ability to score regularly in the top flight
Sturridge joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2009 but has found regular football hard to come by since the switch.
The 21-year-old has managed just two Premier League starts for the Blues, and he was loaned to Bolton for the second half of last campaign.
Sturridge impressed for the Trotters, scoring eight goals in 12 league outings, but the striker is determined to make a name for himself at Stamford Bridge in the 2011-12 campaign.
When asked if he sees himself as a Chelsea player, Sturridge told Sky Sports News: "Never any doubt.
"I'm here training in pre-season and looking forward to the start of the new season, where I can show everybody what I am capable of doing.
"It is the same in every team around the world. Every striker has got to fight for their place and it is no different here.
"It is a thing every striker has got to be prepared to do. There are no guarantees in football at any club.
"It doesn't matter whether you are a star or not a star, you have to show the manager what you are capable of doing. Every season is a new season.
"The past is the past, in my opinion, so everyone has got to fight for their place."
