According to talkSPORT, Porto believe they can get £40 million for their Brazilian star, and Anzhi are prepared to break the bank to sign him.Chelsea are also said to be pursuing the 25-year-old, but Andre Villas-Boas is not expected to try to match Anzhi, despite being keen on his former charge.
Hulk has scored 11 times in 17 appearances for Porto this season, and was one of Villas-Boas' star turns last season as the Portistas romped to an historic quadruple.Since Villas-Boas left Estádio do Dragão for Stamford Bridge to become Chelsea manager he has consistently been linked with a swoop for Hulk.
However, should Chelsea formalise their interest in Hulk, it would appear they will be beaten to his signature by Anzhi.Meanwhile, reports on Tuesday claim Chelsea are monitoring the contract situation of Arsenal captain Robin van Persie.
The Dutch striker has 18 months to run on his current deal and is delaying any discussions on an extension until January.
