【擋下 Kawhi 才有勝算？】 Ben Simmons 將會更多時間擔當防守 Kawhi 的責任！

東岸次輪 Game 1，76人安排 Jimmy Butler 防守速龍明星球員 Kawhi Leonard，Butler 可以說是聯盟不俗的外線防守者之一，可是 Leonard 完全統治了這場比賽，全場轟入45分及11個籃板，寫下職業生涯新高。他的進攻效率更是難以置信，全場23投16中，投籃命中率接近70%。76人主教練 Brett Brown 認為球隊太依靠 Butler 一對一防守 Leonard。

引用“Could we see [Simmons] more on Kawhi? Maybe,” Brown said. “Maybe some of the others we need to [be] better and give him help with crowds. … Our intention was multiple defensive players on Kawhi out of that group that I just said.”

賽後有球評家提出為什麼76人不考慮以 Ben Simmons 防守 Leonard，因為他比 Butler 更高及更長。根據 Dave McMenamin 報導，Brown 堅持以 Butler 防守 Leonard，但是他亦承認將會安排 Simmons 更多時間防守 Leonard。首戰 Kyle Lowry 只得9分，速龍取得勝利的關鍵在於 Leonard 及 Siakam，如果能夠封鎖他們兩人其中一人，這對於76人有很大幫助，當然 Embiid 亦需要想到辦法去剋服對方中鋒 Gasol。
