Pro Hoops Daily Presents the Top Ten NBA Slam Dunk Contest Dunks of All-time – The NBA Slam Dunk Contest started in 1984 and over the last 33 years we have seen some pretty amazing dunks. In this video we look at what we believe is the top ten dunks through the past 33 years (1984-2017). Featured in this video are NBA greats such as Dominique Wilkins, Vince Carter, and the greatest of all-time Michael Jordan, other NBA stars also making appearances are Jason Richardson, Zach Lavine, Aaron Gordon, and Desmond Mason. This video also feature a new No. 1 greatest dunk of all-time, when Aaron Gordon in 2016 overtook Vince Carters dunk in 2000 as the greatest NBA Dunk Contest Dunk of All-time.

Michael Jordan is a Retired Professional Basketball player who is widely considered to be the greatest NBA player of all time. He was also the first back to back slam dunk champion in NBA history after winning the 1987 and 1988 NBA Slam Dunk Contests. Michael played his collegiate Basketball at the University of North Carolina. He was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 3rd overall pick in the 1984 NBA Draft. Michael spent most of his career with the Chicago Bulls where he went on to win 6 NBA Championships.

Dominique Wilkins is a retired Professional Basketball player who is best known for his electrifying play, he earned the nickname “Human Highlight Film” for his electrifying slam dunks. He is one of the few people to win the competition twice, winning in 1985 and 1990. Dominique played his Collegiate Basketball at the University of Georgia, and he was selected by the Utah Jazz with the third Overall Draft Pick in the 1982 NBA Draft.

Vince Carter is a Professional Basketball player who is best known for his amazing slam dunks he has earned the nickname half-man half-amazing and Vinsanity. Vince played his collegiate basketball at the University of North Carolina and was drafted by the Golden State Warriors with the 5th overall pick in the first round of the 1998 NBA Draft.

Jason Richardson is a Professional Basketball player who is best known for winning The NBA Slam Dunk Competition Twice (2002, 2003). Jason Richardson played his Collegiate Basketball at Michigan State University. He was selected by the Golden State Warriors as the fifth Overall Draft Pick in the 2001 NBA Draft.

Zach Lavine is a Professional Basketball player who is best known for winning back to back NBA slam Dunk Contests in 2015 and 2016. Zach played his Collegiate Basketball at UCLA and was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 13th Overall Draft Pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

Aaron Gordon is a Professional Basketball player who is best known for his memorable duel with Zach Lavine in the 2016 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Aaron recorded 3 consecutive perfect Dunks before finally loosing the competition to Zach Lavine. Aaron played his collegiate basketball at Arizona University and was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the 4th overall pick in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft.
