【Tomyumball】A meeting in Sukhothai.
※ Mr. Somsak Thepsutin. The boss of Sukhothai FC.。
【Me】Is Sukhothai's boss a big politician? 【Katano】I heard Yuto said that he worked in the government, and he supported everything of the club. He is very friendly and loves football very much. He attends every game. He motivates us always. But most of the time he only speaks Thai.
※ A very good boss I see.
【Me】Is the coach mainly speaking in Thai also?
【Katano】Yes. But our team manager can speak good English. When there’s really a communication problem, he can translate for me. Most of my Thai teammates mainly speak in Thai too. But I can speak some Thai, and they can speak some English, so there’s been no problem.
The sky went dark and the training session was finally over. The Sukhothai boss came to do a speech to the team. According to the Sukhothai staff, Mr. Somsak is just like the Newin Chidchob (Buriram’s boss) of Sukhothai, so perhaps we can also expect a bright future here in Sukhothai too.
I chatted with the young manager of the club before I left. I introduced myself that I am a friend of Katano, and I would write an article about Katano and Sukhothai when I returned to Hong Kong. The manager said I am welcome to Sukhothai anytime and next time if I came for the match, he would provide me a VIP ticket. I am sorry that I took over 2 months to finish the article, but I surely will come to support Katano again. Hopefully that would be the match that Sukhothai win the promotion spot. And I will also write a more detailed article about Sukhothai FC. I hope the boss or the manager would allow me to interview them for this.
※ The training session ended with a motivation speech by the boss.
Katano’s teammate drove us back to the town after training, with Katano and Yuto together again. They dropped me off in the New Town and that was the time to say good bye to Katano. I walked to the hotel restaurant, where I did the interview with Katano, for a dinner first. I lost my way for a moment before I finally reached there. Actually it wasn’t that dark at night as Katano described. There were also some bars. The Historical Park indeed attracted many tourists here I think.
After dinner I took a Tuk-Tuk to the bus station. My bus departed at 9:45 pm. The bus was actually coming from Chiangmai so it was already half full. I just slept on the bus like Katano did in his away game journey. I didn’t sleep well but fortunately the bus arrived to Bangkok earlier than I expected. It was 3:40 am at Mochit bus station. It took only 6 hours. I just had my own away game journey I think.
※ Night bus routes. There is break point in the middle of the long ride so passengers can relax and eat something.
【Me】How is the atmosphere of Sukhothai's home game?
【Katano】It was great. As you can see the stadium has no running track so the fans are very close to the pitch. Therefore the atmosphere was awesome.
I can’t wait for my VIP ticket. Sukhothai’s season is about to end with only 6 matches remain. They will have home matches on Nov 25, Nov 28 and Dec 9. Their last match will be playing away on Dec 12 against Pattaya United. Sukhothai can still win the promotion. And Katano has already secured his place in the first eleven. Unless he is injured or suspended, he probably will play all the matches. I hope Sukhothai win the promotion. And I hope I can make enough money for my next trip to Sukhothai ASAP. Susu.
※ Sukhothai go international.
※ Of course those are not the VIP seats.
※ League table of Division One until Nov 1(Only listed the top 10)。Sukhothai can still win the promotion spot.
